A New Chapter for the Helena Library
These photos were taken shortly before the Helena library building opened to the public on March 5, 2021, after a long wait, first due to demolition and construction and then a much longer closure due to the COVID-19 pandemic that began almost one year ago. These photos give just a glimpse of the total transformation of the 45-year-old library building that sits at the south end of Helena's Last Chance Gulch. The Lewis & Clark Library Foundation, through the generosity of our donors and major funders, contributed $100,000 for enhancements that truly make the library a special place to visit.
